Camberley and Farnborough Hockey Club have initiated a Hockey Satellite Club to increase participation in hockey in the Surrey Heath area for young people.

A partnership with the assistance of Active Surrey, England Hockey and Camberley Community Sports Pitch to deliver hockey sessions for 11-24 year olds from the area over the next year. Set up as part of Sport England’s London 2012 mass participation legacy program ‘Places, People, Play’, the satellite club aims to address the issue of young people stopping playing sport, by providing an easy transition from school sport to club hockey.

Despite the high level of hockey being played at Camberley and Farnborough hockey Club, very little hockey features on the primary or secondary school curriculums within Surrey Heath.

Players of all abilities are welcome to attend the satellite club which commence on Friday 7th November, on the all weather pitch at Kings International College, Camberley, GU15 2PQ

The sessions will be run for 10 weeks and will take place on Friday evenings between 5.30 – 6.30pm.
